Combination grades must contain at least 25 per cent of apples which are of such grade as would be permitted in higher grades. None of the higher grade apples shall be sorted out of any lot and the remainder marked as com bination grade. Orchard Run -When extra fancy, fancy and C-grade are packed together, the boxes must be marked, "orchard run," but orchard run apples must not contain any fruit that will not met the requirements of C-grade. None of the higher apples shall be sorted out of any lot and the remainder marked, "orchard run." Twenty five per cent are required for all fancies of red varieties. Color specifications are less severe on striped or partial red varieties. The law calls for two standard grades of pears, extra fancy or "blue" and fancy or "red." The standard Oregon pear box shall have the follow ing inside dimensions: 8J inches deep, 18 inches long, 11 inches wide. Every box must have marked plainly on it the grade and name of variety con tained or else the word, "Unknown." It must also carry the name of the grower, place where grown, net weight and number of pears contained in the box. If the fruit is shipped through an association or shipper, his name may be used instead of that of the grower, l'acked boxes must weigh not less than 42 pounds, except Winter Nellis, which must weigh at least 40 pounds. Most people believe that it must j run its course, not knowing that the ' tiBje is very much shortened and that ! there is little danger from the disease i when this remedy is given. It has been used in many epidemics of whoop ir.g cough, with pronounced success. It if safe and pleasant to take. your instruction book It says-. Old oil should be drained from the crankcase at regular intervals and replaced with fresh oil. This statement is made because engine operation causes road dust, carbon, fine metal particles and other impurities to accumulate in the crankcase oil. The gritty oil circulates through the engine, impairing its performance, and ulti mately leads to rapid depreciation and repairs. These careful instructions from the manufacturer are often disregarded; cleaning the crankcase is a job generally disliked. To meet this need Modern Crankcase Cleaning Service has been established by first-class garages and other dealers co-operating with the Standard Oil Company. These garages and dealers use Calol Flushing Ofl, the scientific agent that cleans out old oil, dirt, grit and other impurities and does not impair the lubricating efficiency of fresh oil used. The cleaned crankcase is refilled with the proper grade of Zerolene. Look for the garage or dealer displaying the sign shown below, it means ' Better operation and longer engine life.
