SOUSE OF ASTON SHMENT TALK DIRECT 10 T Fire Chief Amnnu has Usued in structions to the effect that when the fire department is called that citizens should hold their telephone until the department answer-. The receiver should not be hung up uu'il I he. de- pa. (meut has nnswcrel. lu the past it has been (he cu-!om on the part of those turning in an iilu rni to notify central and have them notify the department. This was reotisible for a mistake a few days ago when the department w.is sent out on Wcfct Tenth when they should have tone to another part of the city. Fortunately the fire was a small one. So heron fter be sure and talk dire t to the fire department thus minimi ini: chances of mistakes. There is probably no oilier com munity in Hie western slates of cipinl size which ciin excel Ibis in rule pniiitinH, uutiipies nnd curio-' of rill kinds. The First Art l.oim exhibit under the auspices of the Indies of St. Mark's church is u revelation. The exhibit opened this afternoon mid will continue several days. Attractively placed in St. Mark's hall is to be found a cnthorino; of ancient uud modern works of art which include paintings, etchings, weaves, baskets, gold, silver and cop per ware, ancient firearms, spinning wheels, furniture, luces, tapestries, which have been gathered from every corner of the globe by people who now call the Ifogue River valley home. Mnny of the exhibits are priceless nnd have been handed down in families as heirlooms for tunny generations. Kven the women who arranged the exhibit were astounded by the great amount of material they found avail able in local homes. They arc very grateful for the many offers of help which poured in mi them and for the assistance which made the exhibit possible. Those who visit the exhibit have a trrent surprise in store.
