SHEPARD IN HEPPNER Spoke to Good Sized Au dience Monday. Geo. S. Shepard, of Portland, spoke tq a good sizd audience at Roberta hall, Monday eveniup. Good music was furnished by the Crawford orchestra. E. L. Fieeland presided and introduced the speaker. Mr. Shepard is a practical and able man, and the issues from a republican standpoint were ably discussed. Mrs. James Keeney returned tg Tendleton, Saturday. Mrs. M. B. Metzler will enter tain the Five Hundred Club on Friday, June 5. Mrs. G. W. Phelps and children will arrive next Wednesday to visit her sister, Mrs. Metzler. There will be the regular serv ices at the Christian church both mornirg and evening, Sunday May ol. Mrs. J, A. Patterson and little niece, Melba Griffith, left Satur day morning to view the lleet at Seattle. They will visit at Sound points and Portland for a month. JThe finest flavored strawberries that we have tasted this season, and in fact the finest, we believe that we ever did taste were pur chased this week from a Hepprier merchant. They were grown at Irrigon, in Morrow county. Cake is a man of broad views and a man who holds the senator shirxabove personal ends. No one can reproach his character and a thing certain he has not been a chronic office seeker. A man of ability with few, if any, superiors in the state. It is a pity to see a person neglect in li ations of kidney or bladder trouble that may result in Bright's disease when Foley's Cidney Remedy will correct ir regularities and strengthen these organs. Take Foley's Kidney Remedy at the first sign of danger. Slocnm Drug Co. Big; Dinner. Its getting ready. Election day. Jext door to Scrivener's shop. "Will be fine and rich. No lunch to gulp down like a choking chick en. Square, full dinner. Coffee, ham, pies, salads, baked beans, lima9 baked, chicken, etc. Ice cream in the evening. Look out for it, boys and girls.
