Notwithstanding the higher cables ft'om Liverpool yes tcrday morning and the wet weather reported for the northwest, the wheat market opened with prices but a shado higher than yesterday's closing. The volume of business was only moder ate. Lter, however, the closing cables showed a strong tone nnd this caused the local shorts to start a cov ering movement which helped prices for a time being, but this was not fol lowed b,y. an' new buying for longs, and the market turned to dullness. There was some new selling started 1 y reports of the easiness of the north west markets, and the closing prices are but a shade better than opening. Atlanta, C Widow Actlntr in Accordance With lliiwluiiiil Ilvlllrr IfcnilCNls ! Shows o Sorrow at His Death. Indianapolis, Ind. Standing beside a coffin containing the body of her husband Mrs. Charles " Ruhland car ried out his last request. Dressed in white, she sang two hymns, read his request and delivered a brief eulogy. Ruhland did not want any crepe at his door and he Insisted that no black should be worn In mourning for him. He wanted his wife to dress in whit"1. He desired that in the place of somber decorations there should be flowers and other symbols of joy at the funeral. Puhland was f.2 years old and was ill a year before he died. There was no evidence of mourn ing in the appearance of Mrs. Buh land as she stood at the head of the coffin. In a clear, sweet voice shi snug a hymn and then read her hus band's request. A few of their friends were present. Mr. and Mrs. Ruhland embraced Spiritualism several years ago. "If ever I would tell the truth I surely would t'dl it this moment," said Mrs. Ruhland, "standing by the side of the casket which holds the form of my husband the one dear to me; the form that I loved, that 1 have em braced, that has been my companion for more than thirty years, lover and sweetheart, husband and wife, father and mother. Under these circumstanc es the truth would be told. "And I say to you that within three hours after his transition my husband appeared to me and to our son and we conversed with him, received his re quests and heard from his condition. "And he 1; been with us ever since. He said he would come to us. U, came as he promised." . At the conclusion of the eulogy. Mrs. Ruhland sang another hymn and the service ended. Not a tear was shed. The body was cremated im mediately following the funeral as was requested by Ruhland. I 1 F' 1 r 1 I QQomnr it ran on UiUOQHIUU miUUIUIj I INSURANCE AND LAND RUSINESSl PHYSICIANS.
