Thursday the members of the United Brethren Sun day school went to a point five miles above Weston and had a delightful Sunday school picnic. An elegant dinner was served at noon. In the afternoon the entire school took part in the sports program. Including a baseball game and foot races. In the evening, before they went home, a lunch was served. All present had a most enjoyable time. County Superintendent F. W. Welles was in Weston Tuesday and Wednes day on county business. Dr. F. D. Lazier, formerly a Wes ton practitioner, visited here Tuesday. Oeorge Proebstel, Sr., and wife, of Weston, left a few days ago on an ex tended visit with friends in Portland. Mr. Frank King ami 'daughter Lo lvn.i, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Cha. King, spent a few days at their ranch near Helix. .Mr. and Mrs. Anson Woods of Walla Walla, came to Weston in their auto last Thursday. Mr. Louis Reynolds, who has been in Starbuek with his mother for the past year, returned to Weston this week for a visit with friends and rel atives. This road will be a great improve ment and an advantage for Weston and vicinity as well as for Athena. Mr. Wm.
