Doctor McCormnc Is president of the Marshllold Chamber of Com merce, having just been elected to his fourth term of olllce. There are Important coal de posits on tho bny, one mine of which has been supplying fuel for more than fifty years. Tho coal Is used mostly for domestic purposes. I think this Is the only commercial body in tho West with n woman holding n similar posi tion, if not in the entire country, and, moreover, It would bo hard to find a more active secretary of a chamber of' commerce anywhere.
