PORTLAND, Ore, Oct. 20. Suit to recover damages In tho nmotmt of $100,000, with costs mul disbur sements of action, from tho Sanita rium Company, which consists of Dr. R. L. Gillespie, Dr. Henry Wnltlo Coo nnd R. M. Tuttle, because of tho nl loged brutnllty and torturo subjected at tho Crystal Springs nsylnin, was filed In Circuit Court this morning by 11. 13. Steinler, brother of tho mal treated man and guardian of his per son and estate. Sensational charges are made by tho plaintiff In the document, which was drafted by Attorney John 1 Logan. With him In tho action nra associated Judge Henry E. McGinn, Judge Thomas O'Day and Attorney Wilfrid K. Furroll. Tho hitter was counsel for Mrs. Hannah Purser, whoso release ns a prisoner at Crystal Springs wits obtained last October by habeas corpus proceeding before Circuit Judge Karl C. Hronnugh, and for Louis Turjon, whose suit to re cover $2G,000 dnmages last winter because of alleged brutal treatment by Crystal Springs attendants wub blocked by legal technicalities oppos ed by tho company's lawyers.
