We do not employ a special solicitor because we think it Is A 1 better to put the money Into the work, for after all, a satisfied t customer Is the best advertisement a business can have I For Strictly I Fresh Butter Sterilized Cream I Sterilized Milk t Butter Milk Bean-Pot Cheese and Ice Coos Bay Ice & Cold Storage It is easy to scatter printers' ink and send around solicitors, but "delivering the goods" Is the item of supreme importance, and all otir energies aro put forth to "deliver the goods". The measure of our success is tvidenced by the Increasing volume of our business. A finishing room 20x55 feet has just been added with all the necessary equipment, thus removing all the starch work from the dampness and dust of the main building, and it enables us to turn out such work as never before was possible on Coos Bay. In connection with our regular laundry business, we conduct a Dry Cleaning, Dyeing and Pressing Department, and neces sary machinery and appliances will be added from time to time as business in this department justifies. Let us show you what we can do in this line. MISS SUSIE EICKWORTH is spend ing a few days at the home of her brother, Will Elckworth, at Mlllicoma. The city of Marshfield may acquire a city park free and it maybe called "Hennessey Park." This was tho talk at the city coun cil this week. Councilmen Hennes sey said that if things pan out as ho expected, he would offer tho city a tract of about thirty acres for a city park providing the city would do a certain amount of work getting it in proper shape for a park. He said it was located near Eastport but fur ther than this ho did not dlvulgo his plan. The councilmen have been talking for sometime of taking steps to secure land for a city park and have been wondering where they could 'secure, a desirable tract In a good location and how they could pay for It. When councilman Hennessey sug gested that he might be the donor of n tract, Councilman Powers told him to go ahead and he would see that tho park was named "Hennessey's" Park" in honor of the donor. Fur ther than that, Mr. Powers said that he would personally do (l muoh, work towards Improving it as Counoll man Nelson, but Nelson said ho couldn't do very much. Councilman Albrecht said he would give a wepk's work to It. However nothing definite was done about it. 11, ' ' l..V 11. 1 Oppose Expense, v "I wish you would call attention to the fact that I voted against al lowing the Mayor to hire addition al policemen" said Councilman Nel son today. "I made a motion that tho bawdy houses be moved outside tho city, but the Mayor said I was out of order. So when the motion was made tp close the1 houses and empowering tho Mayor to hire addi tional policemen, I votpd against it. I was in favor of closing them but I don't think It was necessary to Incur nny more exponso In case the present police do their duty." ,M t.
