Ho has what he considers a very valuable claim 100 miles from Valdes. He went out by way of Cottage Grove at which point Mrs. Lee will remain during his absence. He was accom panied to the Bay by his mother, Mrs. .7. F. Lee of Mverton. Mrs. Ada Simpson and Miss Mar- icia Beaty will leave on the Elizabeth .for San Francisco, after having spent a pleasant vacation with Mrs. Simp son's mother, Mrs. Costello. J. W. Brewer, a son of P. H. Brewer of Fishtrap, arrived here last week from his home In Guate mala, where he has spent the past sixteen years. He has a little daugh ter with him who speaks only Span ish, that being the prevailing lan guage of that section. He Is enjoy ing a visit with his father very much. Foote has leased his Nor way ranch for a year to Wm. Shultz, and Mr. Foote and his family left Wednesday morning on trip to their old homo in Louisiana, where they expect to make an extended visit.
