A large num ber of Marshfleld people are plan ning to take advantage of the cheap I ound trip excursion to Bandon to morrow and the train which leaves at 8 o'clock promises to carry a good load of excursionists. I Seventy-Eight Burials Today marks the close of the fiscal year of the I. O. O. F. Cemetery association. School September 20. At a meet ing of the Marshfleld school board this afternoon, it was decided to have school open September 20. Short Doer Season. Under the new game law, the open season for deer in Coos county this year will be only two months, from August 1 to November 1 Mrs. Raker Dead. Mrs. Lenet to day received a telegram announcing that her mother Mrs. Baker, died at hor home in Eugene. Friday, Mrs. Baker formerly resided on Coos Bay and is well-known to many here who will sincerely regret her demise. She had been ill for quite a while. She will be burled Sunday at Eu gene. Expert Forester Here. John Lafon, who has been in the govern ment forestry service at Prescott, Ariz., and the California Shasta for est reserve, arrived here yesterday to become superintendent of the ro forestratlon department of the C.
