The arranging of the safe-deposit boxes, the system of checking keys and many other devices absolutely new and necessary for a perfect arrangement, have been provided. Special attention was given the safe-deposit boxes, as well as the system of individual protection to patrons; and many other points not enjoyed nor permitted in any other plan of arrangement known. The most eminent vault engineers in the world were retained to engineer this system of safety-deposit vaults, and the result is that the citizens of Portland can pride them selves on having the most complete and se cure safet3T-deposit vault in the world. The renter of a safe-deposit box in this vault has not only the" greatest protection against the skilled burglar and fire, but also has protection against mob violence. The safety-deposit system, as a whole, is one of the most interesting sights in the United States. No person possessing a paper of any value or valuables of any nature should be with out one of these safety-deposit boxes. The use of a box can be procured as low as $4.00 per year. The absolute protection given by the coin vaults and individual burglar-proof safes, safeguards the money and securities. The book vaults are perfect in arrangement and for the speedy and accurate handling and filing of the many books and papers necessary to such an institution. In fact, every point has been considered where system could be perfected.
