Mrs. Davidson leaves a large family of grown up children, besides many friends to mourn her loss. Mothers' and Teachers' Club held a splendid meeting Thursday. About forty ladies were present The high school pupils gave a debate on the question of the day, and the lower grade pupils gave an exercise in calis thenics. The teachers served tea and cake after the regular routine of busi ness. The afternoon will long be re membered by all present The bovs' club will entertain their parents Wednesday evening at the class hour, in the City Hall. All the parents should attend and encourage the bovs in their work. Mrs." Ella Maple is able to sit up and her friends are glad and hope she will fully recover. Mr E. Leighton and Miss Delia Mullin were quietly married Saturday evening. Miss Mullen is the daughter of F. F Mullin. and quite well known. Mrs. Ola Bell, of Hood River, sis ter of Mrs. Geo. Wesslnger, was down Tuesday to attend the funeral of her aunt, Mrs. Mary A. Russ, of Monta vllla. City Council will meet Thursday evening and act on the petition for the improvement of Washington St. Advertising for bids for the Improve ment of Main street will be ordered, and any other business that may come up will be acted on. The dunce given by the Women of Woodcraft, was a grand success, both socially and financially. Everyone had a fine time and look forward to another dance. Mrs. Homer Mullin and Miss Nellie Duckner spent - Wednesday in Oak Grove on business. Mllwaukle Hand will give a conre' and all night dance at Estacadu Sat urday evening. April 1.
