There are now 310 wooden KltlpH In process of con atructlon and contracted for. Proba bly no more will be wanted. There are 220 fabricated ships to be built. The steel program ha not been de layed to such an extent became they are longer in the making and their construction did not call for such peed a the wooden and fabricated venael. It was said that with the proper application the reorganized corporation will be able to meet them and, moreover, keep to the schedule that will provide 10,000,000 ton of shipping by the end of 1I9.
