Several petitions have been circu lated among the students and towns people in regard to the single session high school on which are stated the advantages, to-wit: A school oper ated through one continuous period enables tlose working for their education to apply more time for that purpose; classes in the morn ing docs away with the unsatisfac tory periods of study in the warm afternoons; the fact that many notable schools have adopted the single session speaks strongly for its feasibility. In some instances this may be a detriment to the girls, for there are 'those whose services are required at home durng the noon hour, but the points in favor weigh heavily enough to warrant a trial. One of the greatest drawing cards of the C. C. ' II. S. is the Domestic Science department and of all the girls in the classes, each is quick to assert that they have gained a fund of valuable knowledge and experience from their work. The department is managed in a most economic manner and is becoming more and more self-supporting. The warm weather of the past week has brought out the baseball mitts, a few cases of "Spring fever," and a lecture by Superintendent Haughman on discipline. M., in Crook i Range 16-East. of W.
