Mr. Arne, who has been associ ated with Judge Dunbar, of Boise, in the juvenile court work addressed the mothers on "Why We Need a Juvenile Court." Several selections of music were also given. Dainty refreshments were served by the sophomore and senior girls. The firange held its regular meeting Friday evening in Franks hall. Bert Adams, who formerly lived in this neighborhood, is here from British Columbia on business. Mr. Randall, public utilities commissioner of the northwest, was a bueines caller in Fruitland last week. It has been announced that the floplumores will entertain the other members of the high school Ifollowe'en in tho school building. Miss Cosia Sherman enter tained Irma Deal, Esther Rus sell, Mr. Dewhirst and Earl Cotton at dinner Sunday. Mrs. A. C. Chidaster, of Aurora, Nebraska, is visiting at lli" !'. ' Rodecrs home. Pete Johnson bought a nice team Monday at Philip Docht ler's sale. Mr. Dochtler traded his automobile for the teHin a few days ago. Mr. and Mrs. Channex and family, of Kelsay, Minnesota, came Sunday and are visiting with relatives and friends for a few days. They expect to move to the Payette-Oregon slope to make their future home. The mother and sister of Mrs. S. M- Thomas came in Tuesday of last week for a visit. Her mother expects to spend the winter here, but her sister will only stay about a month. Messrs. Win. and Ira Mpl''her and 0. E. Boor started Tuesday for central Oregon with the in tention of buying stock ranches. The Methodist Ladies' Aid society met Thursday afternoon in Kpworth hall. Word lias been received that Fred McCarty and family who formerly lived in this neighbor hood, have moved toSandpoiut, Idaho, to make their home. Mr. Black had one of his toes crushed off Saturday by falling and the wheel of a loaded wagon passing over his foot. G. K. Graham intends to start for his new home near Bend, Oregon, next week. Mr. Wal ters has rented the place former ly owned by Mr. Graham for the coining year. B. Whealdon and family were guests at the N. P. Yockey home Sunday. J. T.
