THE DAILY CAPITAL JOURNAL, SALEM, OREGON, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 1919. MUG TO YE LIBERTY lOT VEEK . ' i -'I L- . ..... --r. - ' fa ; NAZ I MOVA i n?..TH E BR.AT" The phrase "all star cast" lias been so overworked that it has come to 'bo "the bunk" with a good share of the public. The term, however, will take on a measure of reality when Mack Bennett's latest and largest farce pro duction, "Yankee Doodle in Berlin," is spread out for the public gaze on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday at the Lib erty theater. In this film, which is said to set the high mark for the comedy king of the screen, will be found five reels of mirth sustained at a high pitch instead of the customary two. form Sennett, and all the Sennett f siccus assembled in one array for a broadside of ridicule at German bluff and Bluster. Charlie Murray plays an Irish sol dier; Ford Sterling enacts the kaiser; Chester Conklin and Ben Turpin, Ma rie Provost and Eva Thatcher are ideal ly cast, the Sennett Bathing Beauties splash their way into consistent scenes and Bothwell Browne, the noted male for what may be considered the pivotal actor of feminine roles, was engaged part that of an American aviator who in disguise, as a gay "Tamp," worms his way into the imperial household and learns both state, and domestic se crcts of value to the U.
