Court House News Louis Cerventa has entered suit a gainst. Carrie O. Dennis, in which ho claims that he entered into a contract for tho purhase of lots 12 and 13 in the Dennis tracts, about 26 acres and that he paid down $300.00. He alleges that tho defendant has refused to ex ecute the conditions of the contract and that she will not refund the $500.00 he paid at the time the contract was made. He wants his $500 00 returned and the contract cancelled by the court. An interesting re-nssessment caso will come before the circuit court next Wednesday. Tho suit is that of J. Al Brown and others against the city of Silverton. Tho plaintiffs ask the court to order that the documents of the city of Silverton and all proceed ings of the city council pertaining to the assessment of certain streets be brought before the circuit court- Alo the documents in the original bid of C. A. Hartley, the contractor who laid the improvements. In the case of Ella Watt, executor of the estate of C. L. Watt, deceased, against F. H. Reeves and others, Frank Fitts, one of the defendants asks the court for a judgment against F. H. Reeves for $500 00 and that the court give him a first lien and claim on funds now in tho hands of Sheriff Necdham and that in the final adju dication of the suit, th sheriff be ordered to pay him, Frank Fitts, $5X.00. In the case of James MKiilchrist a gainst Frank E. Loose and others for taking possession of a Ford truck, Loose makes reply to the complaint asking that the court make A. G. Martin for balance due on a stallion sold in 1909, the defendant makes re ply that the stallion was sold under fraudulent pretense. He claims thut the sale was made on the assertion that the stallion had a record of pro ducing colts in 73 per cent, of his breed ing, hut that he wns really broken in constitution and useless for breeding purposes and had only a 13 per cent breeding ability- A. T. Winches has filed a suit, agninst Marie Hkotheriin. . Me alleges that he rented a farm near i'argo and the a greeuient was that ho. was to receive the $100 rent before any of the crop was removed. Instead of getting his money, he alleges that part of the crop was removed from the farm ami that he had received none of his rent.
