There was a good attendance of the members and during the noon hour a number of invited guests came and par took of the "wheatless" dinner and remained for. the excellent program in the afternoon. The breads served at din-1 ner were made. of. the whole wheat and! of corn. Some bran, and gome raisin ' and nut bread not strictly wheatless of course, but as aearly so as may be. Cakes and pies were conspicuously ab sent thoug there were bran and oatmeal cookies galore. The program begun with music by 'Normal girls. Following this President J. H. Ackermau spoke briefly but earnestly in behalf of the army Y. M. C. A. Miss Myra Butler, head of the Domestic Science department of the nor mal explained how to prepare the waste paper for shipment and asked for dona tions for the Red Cross. 15.
