The play entitled "The Noble Out east," rendered by the high school stu dents at the hall last week, was a de cided success as to the acting and also the drawing of-a full house. The pro ceeds obtained will he-used in fixing up the school playgrounds. There will be two new tennis courts put in and several swings for the younger pupils. Mrs. Ethel Cox is quite siek. Mr. Sayre, who has been at the. hos pital in Salem the past two weeks, is re ported much improved and his return home is expected in a few dnys. Miss Olive Young, who has spent a pleasant holiday vacation with Silverton relatives, left for her home in Oregon City Monday.
