Would-Be Suicide
Is Saved by Guards
Santa Monien, Cat., April 21. stand
ing within six feet of two life guards
on the municipal pier here today, an
unidentified man said:
"Here goes nothing." and jumped

peared the two life guards dove into
the water to rescue him. A battle last
ing some minutes ensued between the
guards and the would-be suicide, who
