Through their efforts the people of Salem and vicinity are permitted to seesone of the most talented people and acts of the United States and Europe that otherwise would never be brought to Salem. There were enough tickets sold last year in advance for this yeas Chautauqua as a guar antee to Ellison-White Co. that the Chautauqua would be a success, thus showing that those at tending last year were more than pleased with the entertainment. .
