John Denny, one of the most prom inent and substantial farmers of the Hayesvillo neighborhood, about five miles north of tho city, was in Salem today and reports crops in splendid condition in that vicinity with the ex ception of prunes, which will prove a light crop. He says the rains cnine( just in time to save the wheat, which threatened to mature prematurely, nnd that another rain in Juno will insure a bountiful crop. - j Riding on a truckload of fourteen trunks proved disastrous to three of the j young lady members of the Nestor Sweetheart company, that p laved at ; the opera house last evening.
