The case is one of the strang est ever recorded hore, and a further in- imry into it was expected to be made late today at the coroner's luquost. Ilartlott Into yesterday seized a re volver and, according to witnesses, at tempted to kill himself. Friends seized tho wenpon as he pulled the trigger. and the bullet pnssed several feet from tho ageil man s head and buried itsolf in the ceiling. Immediately Bartlott exhibited every indication that he hail been shot. Ho grasped his throat with both hands and toppled to tho floor with a moan. Al most at once he stiffened in death. Ev ery effort to restore him was made but without avail. A SEATTLE SNEAK-THIEF POSTPONED THE WEDDING Seattle, Wash., July 10. Tho journey of Louis V. Gordon, aged 28, of Juneau, Alaska, to Chicago, where ho intended to take a bride, has ended abruptly in Seattle.
