The game between Chemawa and the Salem Senators, scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, promises to bo a elussy one. It is known that Chema- wa will have the best men in the liiiomi and it is belioved the Senators will have no easy task if they succeed in worsting them. The Indians have been uoing more playing this season than Baker's bunch and there is eood reason to believe that they will hold the Sen ators down to a very low score, if thev do not succeed in beating them. He declined to go into the pitcher's box.' e e e The Jefferson high school team, of Portland, won the final game of the season yesterday, making five straight and its title to the Portland champion ship is unquestioned. A score of 19 to 0 was recorded in the game with the Hill Military academy. SALEM HEIGHTS HAPPENINGS. Mrs. Helen Harford spoke at the hall last Sunday on Temperance. Harry Morris, from Portland, visited over Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Morris. Mrs. Jennie Kingsley leaves Satur day for a summer's visit in Wisconsin. Fred Thompson Is finishing and painting his windmill tower, which adds considerably to the looks of his place. The many friends of MrB. McCIain were pleased to see her out last Sunday after her long sickness. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Austin from Mis souri, are visiting Mrs. Ronch and her daughter, Mrs. Morris. Mr. and Mrs. Garland, who have been visiting Mr. and Mrs, Hall have gone to Roseburg for a visit. They like Salem Heights, so will return and make their home here.
