Local candi dates and others will speak. Schools Open Monday Everything Is In' readiness for the opening of the public schools next Monday. Both the Highland and Rich mond Bchools are completed and ready for the reception of pupils on the op ening day. On Monday at the opening pupils will be assigned to their re spective class rooms, where they will bo furnished booklists for their class es. Parents ar urged to have thcirl children on hand at the opening day If possible as It has a tendency to de moralize the schools for pupils to en ter after the class is well under way. Ilallroad to Fir The new railroad to Fir will soon be completed. It Is only six miles and It Is reported track is being laid at the tate of half a mile a day. A Teachers' Met'tlng A general teachers' meeting was held this afternoon in the high school and was -attended by practically all the city teachers.
