"The Most Up-to-Datc Suits on the Coast"
This is one of the many compliments it has been our pleasure to receive on our magnificent showing of
Ladies Suits. Recently a party of people who are touring the coast and who hare made it a business
to visit the various stores, visited our Ladles Suit Department They were astonished at the many beau
tiful styles we are showing. Before leaving, we had the pleasure of outfitting the ladies of this party
with "the most up-to-date and nobby suits on the coast.' It Is indeed a pleasure to receive these many
favorable comments, but we feel that we're entitled to them, for never before have we bee.i enabled to
offer you such a large and varied assortment of
New Fall Suits, Coats and Dresses.
Our showing Includes the various styles suitable for all dress occasions as well as the more conservative
and practical designs for everyday wear. Each garment has that "tailored look," the grace and beauty
of line given by the master hand ef experienced man tailors. We want you to consider this a personal in
vitation to come in and let us show you that suit the particular suit that you have been looking for. We
will be pleased to show you, and feel assured that you will join us in saying that the styles are absolute
ly correct, and the prices extremely reasonable, quality considered. See window display of suits, coats
and dresses in the Court-street windows.

It has been the generally accepted
theory that the new star was the re

The experience of Motherhood Is a
trying one to most women and marks
distinctly an epoch in their li ves. Not
one woman in a nun

but many approach
the experience with
an organism unfitted for the trial of
strength, and when the strain is over
her system has received a shock from
which it is hard to recover. Follow

distinct change in tho mother results.
There is nothing more elinrmingtlinn

or beauty. The unexplainablo thing is
that, with all the evidence of shattered
nerves and broken health resulting

will persist in going blindly to the trial.
It isn't as though the experience
came upon them unawares. They have
ample time in which to prepare, but
they, for the moRt part, trust to chance
and pay the penalty.

As there is often some one In your
family who suffers an attack of In
digestion or some form of Stomach
trouble, why don't you keep some
Diapepsin in the house handy?
This harmless blessing will digest
anything you can eat without the
slightest discomfort and overcome a
sour, gassy stomach five minutes after.
Tell your pharmacist to let you
read the formula, plainly printed on
these 50-cent cases of Pape's Diapep
sin, then you will readily see why It
makes indigestion, sour stomach,
heartburn and other distress go In
five minutes, and relieves at once
such miseries as Belching of Gas,
Eructations of sour, undigested food,
Nausea, Headaches,; Dizziness, Con
stipation and other , stomach disor
ders. Some folks have tried so long to
find relief from Indigestion and Dys
pepsia or an out-of-order stomach
with the common, every-day cures
advertised that they have about made
up their minds that they have some
thing else wrong, or believe theirs is
a case of Nervousness, Gastritis, Ca
tarrh of the Stomach or Cancer.
This, no doubt, Is a serious mis
take. Your real trouble Is, what you
eat does not digest; instead, it fer
ments and sours, turns to acid, Gas
and Stomach poison, which putrefy
in the digestive tract and Intestines,
and besides, poison the breath with
nauseous odors.
I A hearty appetite, with thorough
1 digestion, and without the slightest
i discomfort or misery of the Stomach,
Is waiting for you as soon as you de
cide to try Pape's Diapepsin,

Portland, Or., Sept, 5. Jesse P.

a wealthy ranchman, at the New
Grand Central hotel hero, October 21,
1910. After beating Johnson nearly
to death with n blackjack, Webb
stuffed the body, still alive, in a
trunk, which had previously been
purchased for the purposo, and sent
it tb the union depot in an express
wagon. There he checked the trunk
to South Puyallup, Wafl.h.
Before the trunk was forwarded,
bloodstains led to the discovery of Its
contents, and two days later Mrs.
Carrie Kersh, who had accompanied
Johnson from Spokane, and Webb
were arrested together. Mrs. Kersh
had $1900, which Johnson had given
her for safe keeping. The money
furnished a motive for the crime.
Both Webb and the woman had de
