According to Will Morrill, local manager, the girlB refused to abldo by certain rules and regulations just made in tho office. On tho other hand, tho strikers claim that the trouble arose over tho local chief operator, claiming that it was im possible to get along with her. Th,oy also assert that tho traffic manager had repeatedly assailed their characters unjustly and would I sooner bo without a job than bear unjust humiliation. Tho company is advertising for new girls and it is ptteleyed ittyat tho strkors wll lose out n the en', Sam Hiiy resident of tho Wash ington Good Roads Association, spoke last night in this city to a fjargq audience. His subject was "Oood Roads' and after ho had finished his speech tho largo crowd, without an exception, were impressed and greatly benefitted by his talk. Mr. Hill Is a Granger and certainly 'believes In the supronlacy of tho farmor. Mr. Hill was accompanied to this city by W. H. DoVarnoy, of tho Homo Telephono Company, of which ho is a largo stockholder. Several expert skaters of this city havo organized a barkotball team In order to play tho great American gamo on skates. Tomorrow night thoy will play their first gamo with Junction City at that place. M. Blg beo, of tho Albany high school team, has been secured as coach, and- a crack team Is expected to bo turned out.
