A peculiar incident In connection with the organization of the new society is that the majority of the original membership is what, la known as "Plat Dutch," or low Dutch. The society was installed by the Salem societv delegation, cnmnrmeri of Rev. Hopf, Wm. Humboldt, A. Kehrberger, Fred W. Heyser, A. Anderegg and J. Stellman, who re turned home this morning and re port a most excellent time and cor dial reception by the Cottage Grove brethren. Several songs by the Sa lem society quartet, and a solo by Fred Heyser added much zest and enthusiasm to the occasion.
