Recitation, "Jim McFeo, of Ten nessee" by Vesta Gardner. "Our Motto" was sung by Mtlry Scblndler, tho words of Lincoln, "Novor Say Fall." Thero wero some- numbors on tho phonograph, and then the discussion of "Elementary Agriculturo" was taken up. There were speeches for nnd against, and the sentiment was strong tor this study In tho public schools. Miss Taylor rathor got tho bout of Mr. Chapman on tho nrgument Coun ty Superintendent Seymour showe.1 that elementary agriculturo was a substltuto for reading classes, and without losing any tlmo from other studies. Tho children wero fond of this Btudy, and preferred it to othor studies. "Condition of School Build ings wns next discussed. Creation of a county high school fund was a warm subject, and was thoroughly threshed out. Parents visiting schools, bottor at tendance nt tho schools, Janitor work, the county high school fund nnd other psnetical questions wera Introduced nnd debated by many of those- presont.
