This has been done In tho shape of a large barn 220 feet long by 42 wldo, which will afford box stalls for 40 horses, each stall being 11x12 feot, and itheso aro located on either sjde of a seven toon-foot drive way, which extends tho ontlro length of the structure. The barn Is fitted with all accommodations for the horses, and it Is well lighted and ventilated. Thero (s barn equipment now for 2G0 8tandardbrods and Thoroughbreds. livestock department will be worth going many miles to see. r A new class of cattlo to be shown at tho next Oregon ftta(,o Fair, which will bo held at Salem during the week beginning September 14, is tho Polled Jorsey. These will bo exhibit ed by Orant Mann, of Cornollus, and will consist of a bull and cow which are said to bo tho only animals of tho breed west of tho Itocky .mountains. the grandstand' first floor will be used by confectionery stands and places where soft drinks will bo dis pensed. There will be several other eating house and lunch counters on the grounds also.
