Crow, representing a Loj Angeles
syndicate which owns and operates

now.
Mr. Crow figure that the road

That the Washington State college
experiment Btatton has propagated
now varieties of wheat which aro
proving of excellent quality, yield
well and are, in fact, almost Ideal
wheats for this section, seems cer
tain, says a Pullman item. After
many yearB of patient work, started
by Professor W. J. Splllman, now
with the department of agriculture
at Washington, D. C, nnd followed
by his successor, ns head of tho col
lege experiment station, Professor E.
E. Elliott, theso new varieties of
havo been perfected and are pro
duced In Btifilclent quantities to seed
vast areas.
Professor Elliott distributed somo
of the seed among n lot of the be-t
farmers, trying to get somo of it In
every neighborhood 'that could be
reached and requesting that tho
grain bo corofully watched and re
ports sent in showing what had been
accomplished. Theso reports are
coming in and nlmoBt every ono
shown splendid results.
Hybrid Bct Wheat Grown.
C. A. Price, a grean dealer of
Pullman, who has a fine farm near
town, said: "My hybrid wheat has
yielded well and Is of excellent qual
ity. I bolJove It will provo one of
tho best grains over grown hero. I
have been urging that not n bu-hcl

that It all 'bo used for reed. If tho
Washington Stato college had ac
complished nothing, else but produce
