Lincoln Wnde Dies nt Advanced Ago of 77 Years. William Lincoln Wade, a pioneer who settled in this city In the early 'GOs, died this 'morning at the age of 77 years. Up to within a week of his death tho old man enjoyed per fect health. A week ago he had an operation In tho Willamette sanator ium, which Institution caught on ffro and Wade was carried to his homo. Ho never recovered from tho shock. Ho leaves a widow and u son, Murray Wade, an artist of Portland, and a brother Murray A. Wado of Gervals. Wado was born in Llncolnvillo, Maine, Dccomber 22, 1S31. At tho ngc of 11 ho shipped on board n sailing vcsol in tho employ of an unclo, and after a trip around tho world Joined tho gold rush to Cali fornia In the early '50s. In 1858 he made his first visit to Oregon on his way to the gold mines in Idaho.
