robberies that has been committed m
tho city for some time, when thieves
entered th homo of Dr. L. O. Alt
mnn. nt tho cornor of Chemeketa and
Llbertv atreets, within a stones
throw of the police station, and
made their escape with a gold watch
and chain nnd two valuable rings,
and a smal lamount of money. The
robbery was not discovered until Dr.
nnd Mrs. Altman returned Inst even
ing from tho Baptist church, where
they attended tho Kiddell lecture.
Tho kitchen door, wheh was securely
bolted bfore leavlnp for tho church,
shortly before 8 o'clock, was found
to -bo broken opon. Several bureau

left In tho house, but the prospective

their advertising in such a large num
ber of mediums, and excellent results
