Tho committee recommends tho buildings bo painted; tiro escapes from tho main barracks bo protect ed by banisters and platforms; con struction of a morguo and assembly hall soparato from tho mala barracks tho latter to havo rooms on tho Bee ond floor for female attendants. For the construction of a morguo tho committee recommended the ap propriation of $1000; for assembly hall, $3500; painting buildings, etc.. $3000; support and maintenance and additional $8000, and that tho sal ary of tho commandant be Increased to $1000 per annum and that of tho adjutant to $750, and for furnishing rations and fuel to soldiers living In cottages.
