At Portland thoro aro two gentle men named and talked about In case of a tlo-up Harvey W. Scott and Theodore I). Wilcox. Both are na tional figures, and know their way about In Washington. At Salem thero Is, much as we dlsllko to admit It, no really available timber. T. T. Gcer It scorns has served tho party until there Is XOTHINH I.V fiTOUK FOH HIM HUT IIUMI'H AND THUMIVj. It can bo said for KCOTT THAT HE 1IVI-S PAUTIAL .SUPPORT TO THE IIOUR.VE CLAIM. As for tho rest of the boanos and innungers, thoy havo their lightning rods up, not ono of them voted for llmrno, or over was hoard to say be believed In tho law of popular elec tion. Now Is the accepted time to work for the people, and not in the uncertain fu ture. Cummins l to be congratulated on bis victory over strong combina tions of able and Influential men. We have all the sympathy in the world for sick people, and want to treat them in a serious way. There Is no humor In pain and affliction, but hard earnest fact. It is impos sible for the patient to impress on others the extent of suffering they endure, and their anxiety for relief. To got well or be relieved Is their one thought. Any remedy that will bring this about has their everlast ing gratitude. We have thousands of letters from people who have had dyspepsia, sick headache and bilious attacks, who tell us how thankful they wore for having used Dr. Gunn's Improved Liver Pills. They are sold at all drug stores for 25c per box. Only one for a dose. These pills remove tho cause of disease and make the skin clear and healthy looking. o SPORTSMEN, ATTENTION!
