His oldest son, n youth of 20, was down town nt tho time; another son, aged 18 years, had gono to Yam hill county earlier in tho dny, and tho daughters and smaller sons were in tho liouso when tho father shot him self. Medical attendance was at onco secured, but nothing could bo dono to savo tho man's lifo.
