Both men are hard charnctora.l Wright served a term in tho Oregon penitentiary for burglary, and secured his release a few days prior to tho out break. Monto also did timo, nnd his sentenco expired n short tlmo before Wright's. Tho two inon aro accused of having slipped two 30-HO rifles and two re-' volvers within tho prison walls. This could only bo accomplished by scaling tho walls at a point whero a night guard was not maintained at that time.
