A Ploasant, Simple, but Safe and Ef fectual Cure for It. Catarrh of tho stomach has long boon considered the noxt thing to in curable. The usual symptoms aro n full or bloating sonsation after eating, acepmpaniod sometimes with sour or watory risings, a formation of gases, causing pressure on the heart and lungs nnd difficult breathing, head achos, ficklo appetite, nervousness and a gonoral played out, languid feeling. Thcro is often a foul tasto in tho mouth, coated tonguo and if tho in terior of tho stomach could bo seen it would show a slimy, inflntod condition. Tho euro for this common nnd obstin ato troublo is found in a treatment which, causes tho food to bo readily, thoroughly digested before it has timo to ferment and irritate tho dolicato mu cous surfaces of tho stomach. To so curo a prompt and healthy digestion is tho ono nocessary thing to do and when normnl digestion is secured tho catarrh al condition will havo disappeared. According to Dr. narlanson tho safest and best troatmont is to uso nf tor each meal a tablet, composed of Diastase, Aseptic Pepsin, a littlo Nux, Golden Seal and fruit acids. Theso tablets can now bo found at all drug stores undor tho" name of Stuart's Dys pepsia Tablets, and not being a patent medicino can bo used with porfect safe ty and assuranco that healthy appotito and thorough digestion will follow their regular uso aftor meals. Mr. E. S. Workman, Chicago, Ills., writes: "Catarrh is a local condition rosulting from a noglcctod cold in tho head, whereby tho lining lnombrnno of tho noso becomes inflamed and tho poisonous dischargo therefrom passing backward into tho throat roaches tho stomach, this producing catarrh of tho stomach. Modical authorities pro scribed for mo, for thrco yenrs for catarrh of tho stomach without euro, but today I am tho happiest of men nftor using only ono box of Stuart's Dyspopsia Tablets. I cannot find np propriato words to express my good fooling. I havo found flosh, appotito and sound rest from their uso." Stuart's Dyspepsia Tablets is tho safest preparation as well as tho sim plest and 'most convenient romody for any form of indigestion, catarrh of stomach, biliousness, sour stomach, heart burn and bloating after meals. Reports from Now York stnto show that during tho past week between GOD nnd 000 bales of hops hnvo been sold by growers at prices ranging from 30c to 32c, nnd in consequence a better fooling nppcars to have dovelopcd thoro. Reports from tho Pacific Coast indicato sales of small lots at prevail ing prices. On tho locnl market a quiet trade is tho fenturo with prices unchanged. Earlier than over boforo tho 'board of ngriculturo has issued tho annual preliminary statement rolntiug to tho total production of hops and tho esti mated yield per aero in this country; tho tablo was printed in our columns on Saturday. This is tho first iustal mont of what aro generally known as tho agricultural produce statistics, and it will probably bo followed somo wooks honco by similar statements con corning this year's total production and yield per ncro of tho cereal and other crops in Great Britain. Tho cul tivation of hops in Great Britain is re stricted, as is well known, to somo half dozen counties of England, tho total oxtont of hops outBido theso countjes boing only 188 acres, ns com pared with 47,G11 acres withthom. Tho total production of hops this year ostimatcd nt 282,330 cwt., is seen to bo as much as 138,738 cwt. less than hint year's crop, which was ostimntod at 421,008 cwt. The crop of 1904 is thus 33 per cont., or ono-third, smaller than that of 1903, although this year's oxtont of hops was almost tho snmo ns that of last year, being only 138 acres less. Tho present is tho 20th conscc utivo year in which tho produce of tho hop crop has been officially cstimatod in England. Within this period tho estimated total production hns fluctu ated botween a maximum of 770,144 cwt. and a minimum of 281,921 cwt., tho former having boon recorded in 1886 and tho lnttor in 1888, two years later. This yoar's total production of 282,330 cwt. escapes boing tho lowest on record by tho trivial quantity of 420 cwt. - Foreign Markets. A late numbor of tho Kentish Ob server says: AJtnougn tncro nns uoon a rather bottor demand for hops of medium qunlitytho trado generally hns continued quiet, and thero appears to bo no prospect of tho lnrgo growths of East and Mid Konts moving off this side of Christmns unless, indeed, hold ers aro proparod to accept tho ridicu lously low prices offered. Tho bulk of tho business is confined to hops bo tween 8 and 9 per cwt. A Surprise Party.
