Men, women and children, lame and halt, crippled and deformed by disease or accident, went In thousands today to pray before and kiss the relic of St. Anno which rests on the altar In the crypt of the Church of St. John the Baptist, in east 7Cth street. It was the end of the nlno days' pilgrimage to what ha3 become lmown as the "Lourdesi of America" because of the healing pow er said to reside in the relic. Lighted by hundreds of lamps and tapers borne by the worshippers, the crypt presented a strange sight. The only game which was pulled off yesterday was between Medford and Jacksonville, at the latter place, and was won by the former by the over whelming scoie of 19 to 1. It Is said that, over $1000 changed hands on the re.nlt of the game. Ashland Tidings BRUTAL OUTRAGES REPORTED Russian Soldiers Attack Pol ish Prisoners and Alaltreat Them Berlin1, July 27.
