JAPANESE CONTINUE TO "'" WIN BATTLES Several Engagements Reported in Various Sections of the Peninsula Russians Arc Expecting to Make a Move ment When Reinforcements w Arrive Toklo, June 10. General Kurokl re ports that a dotachment of, Japanese occupied Salmlchlh on June 7th, with the casualties at three men ktlfed and 24 wounded. The enemy left on the battlefield 23 Wiled, besides two offi cers and five men captured, Kuroki'a army Is co-operating -with tho forces ithat landed at Taku Shan, and occu pied Siurlen, which consisted of 4000 cavalry and six guns. The Japanese casualties la that engagement were three men killed and one lieutenant and 28 men slightly wounded. Kury Expects Help. Liao Yang, Juno 10. It Is learned Ithat General Kuropatkln is expecting a large body of reinforcements. As soon as they arrive he will advance ton the Japanese positions. Important developments, It is expected, it will then appear. I Many Troops Landed. Che Foo, June 10. Chinese refu gees from Taku Shan say that a Jap anese division of 2000 men landed here early In May and proceeded to Feng Huang Cheng, but returned to Taku Shan on May 28th. The-roport Is also brought by the Chinese that a force of bandits attacked, tho Japanese at Kin Chow, but were repulsed, los ing 80 of their number killed, besides many wounded. Fought Two Days. Rome, June 10. The Agenzia Libre reports that after two days' of hard fighting tho Japanese occupied Pang Tao, a short distance to the rear of Port Arthur, from which point they bombarded the Russian stronghold.
