Thero was unanimous sentiment ex pressed in favor of a broken rock road to oxtontl from whero tho Liberty road now ends and tho old city limits on Mission stroet. A commltteo on ways and means with full powor and authority to act wns appointed. Tho indications are that nnothor year will soo n different roadway through tho sevonth ward. Itoy Ohmart, secretary of tho Liber ty league, mado a statement of tholr plan of organization. Ho offorcd the ubo of the constitution nnd by-laws. Dnico Cunningham spoko of the dif ficulties thoy had overcome Tho cost of a rock road was not so great as many supposed. A rock road was cheaper at any cost than a gravel road built free. In Indiana tho cost of rock road was i 12800 a mllo. It could bo dono a groat deal'cheaiwr horo. Ho favored a track 20 foot wido, tho only fault of the Llborty road was it was too .narrow. II. Thoy could only haul half aa much on tholr wagons af ter thoy got into tho city as thoy could on their own roads.
