istration "saved" $5000 collected on
the Anson bond. Of that sum $1250
was paid to a Democratic attorney and
$3750 kept by the city. It Is by such
'figuring" as this that a total "saving"
of $50,000 Is claimed.

Upon which the Salem Non-Partisan administration will go before the
tax-payers and voters for re-election to the officers and council, on
MONDAY DECEMBER 1st, 1902.
Every promise has been faithfully kept,
Not a dollar of additional debf has been created,
The floating debt has been wiped out and the city placed
on a cash basis,
The revenues have been increased and expenses reduced.

The income of the city has never been exceeded by the
current expenses during the past four years
Comparison of the records for the four years preceding
the Nonpartisan administration of affairs, with the four
years about to close, shows that over S 50, 000 have been
saved to the taxpayers by the present Alderman and Office
