that as a courtesy to the United
States nnd sympathy for the mother,
President Scclaya will commute the
deuth sentence of Dr. Hussell Wilson,
the young American doctor, who ac
companied the filibustering expedition
against Nlcnragua, and was captured.
It Is not known whether Wilson will
be sentenced to Imprisonment, but his
llfo having been saved, efforts -will
now be made to secure his release on
the ground that ho accompanied the
filibustering expedition merely In the
capacity of a surgeon.
