The deceased was a native 61 Po land, and tho daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles UsafovaKe, and her father was n rnntnln In Nanoloon's army. Delng captured, ho was exiled from France, and came to tho United States. ' The family settled In Salem in 1852, where Mrs. Owens has hold a continuous res idence. Two sisters and a brother and ono daughter survive her. They are: Mrs. W. D. Carter, of Milwaukee; Mrs V. Downs, of Salem; Charles Usafo vagc, of Taroma, and Mrs. Stella Heldelbock, of Salem. Funeral services were conducted at Leslie church at 1 o'clock this after noon, by Rev. It. C. Blackwell, and burial was had In I. O O. F. cemc tery. HIX.
