LOCOMOTIVE1 ENGINEER EXCURSION AND PICNIC Sports at the Fair Grounds Will Amuse and Entertain Vast Crowds of Visitors. The Annual excursion and picnic of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engin. eers will occur on Sunday, Juno 9th tomorrow. From Portland, Sheridant Dallas and Rosebnrg. trains will be run into Salem, and it is expected that the largest crowd will come here on that occasion, ever seen in the Capital City on these annual excursions. Five trains will bo run to Salem, the fare for the round trip being $1 from all points ex cept south of Cottage Grove, and 1 1.60 from Roieburg and points south of Cottage Grove. At the Fair Grounds where the traias ill arrive about 10:30 a. in., the day will be spent in games, and amusements of all kinds, the managers of the affair having arranged a splendid program. The state institutions will be open dur ing the afternoon to permit all visitors to pass through them, and everything will be done to make the affair tho most successful event of the season. The management guarantees that no Intoxi cating liquor will be sold on the Fair Grounds on that day, Marion County Court Proceedings.
