It really sur prises me how they manage to go through an ordinary door. They wear n folded peeco of cloth around their neck of nil tho bright colors imaginable. The stoves in this country nro entirely foreign to an American, being all mado of whito tile, but givo mo the America stovo for cold weather. Tho heating stoves nro monster affairs. Mine hero in my room is about tho prettiest one I havo ever soon, it reaches from floor to ceiling and made of squares of whito tiling nnd trimmed very artistically with figures of tnn and gold. A mantel around tlirco sides of it and a hearth near tho floor in front, nbovo willed is a door in which thoflro is made with coal bricks aud when the coal burns red they close tho stovo tight and tho heat remains tho rest of the day and in fact tho room is nover cold.
