Thoro lias been n fresh arrival of fly In tlio district elnco Sunday, and thero nto considerable deposits of lico on tho bines as a result of tho earlier visitation which could not be properly dealt with by washing owing to tho unfavonblo wather at tho time. Tho prospects cannot bo considered good for the time of year in any respect. Uotighton and Neighborhood. Tho laterals aro looking vigorous and tho bine a good color. Washing Is continued, vormln balng abuhdant. Brldgo and Neighborhood, Whoro no washing has been dotio, or whoro thoro has boon only ono washing, thero is mach vermin, and whoro they have been thoroughly dono, thoro is some. In theso grounds the vormln increases fast nnd thoro is a tendency to mould. Potham nnd District. Tho hops that have beon thoroughly washod nio now doing well. Thoso that havo been neg lected in Borne grounds nro in a vory do plorable state with vermin and mould. Slurry Hops In this district aro fairly well off for blno for tho year, but aro suffering from n very severe nttack of vermin. Cultivation generally good. A littlo mould is to be found. Thandt Tho heps are mostly short of blno oxceptlng horo and thoro a pleco, Thoy nro full of tlyand lico and washing is going on overywhore, but tho ily con tinues to mako its nppearanco. Cer tainly tho follago does not look as it should do, it is too dark In color nnd no brightness about It, and unloss a suddon and great improvomout takes place but a vory short crop will bo grown, Warm suns and a higher tomporaturo at night aro much required. Canterbury. Prospects havo continu ed to Improve, and tho bine has develop ed very rapidly, tho great heat being Just what it needed.
