One of the great est obstacles they have met Is In women themselves, tho great majority of women being against this added burden to thoso they already have. Los Angeles Ex press. Tho Telegram doubts the truth of this statement that ''the great majority of women" aru against accepting the "bur den" of tho elcctivo franchise. It is truo that a great many good and influen tial women do not desire it, becauso they clearly porcelvo that thoy could bo in no wlso benefitted thereby. Dut probably the majority of women, either in good earnest, or for boiiio light reason or none at all, would choose to bo electors, If it woro loft to tho women themselves. Now, under these circum stances, should tho men grant or deny the right of suffrago to women? This la a question that must bo settled, for somo years at least, by tho voters of Oregon next Juno.
