Lea, Vol untary Obscrver: In general, tho weather conditions this December liavo not departed very far from normnl. This month has been considerably warmer than December of last year, the mean temperatugo, 41. GO, degrees being I degrees higher, and 1.04 abovo normal. Tho maximum and min imum temperatures for Decombor, 1808, wero 54 degrees and 18 degrees respect ively; for December this year 01 de grees and 20 degrees. Tho difference, however, 1b largely duo to tho unusually low temperature last year. Cloudiness and suiifIiIiio are about nomal. Tho rainfall, 7.57 inches, Is .58 inch above normal. Tho only 'heavy rain, 1.17 Inches, occttried on tho 10th. Tlio nuniccr of frosts is about normal, but In some localities they have been very light. lUrouietirc pressure has been aboto normal during tho greater pait of tlio month.
