best results ure not likely to be ob
tained. Our school board should bo men
who arc broad enough to rise above
self-interest or party and work for
tho best interest of our schools. They
should be men who understand some

flicted, men who would select teach
ers with reference to their ability to
teach, and not on account of their po
litical standing or religious anima
tion. It should make no dflurcnen
whether the hoard was "gold stand
ard" or 'Tree silver" but men who
will work for the advancement of the
best Interest of our schools The
greatest linanclal loss of a school dis
trict Is not always t ho amount of In
terest It nays, hut often the kind or
